{"id":1061,"date":"2021-07-08T11:19:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-08T09:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digitallifecentre.nl\/?p=1061"},"modified":"2025-11-03T11:36:40","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T10:36:40","slug":"de-verloren-magie-van-dagon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digitallifecentre.nl\/en\/de-verloren-magie-van-dagon\/","title":{"rendered":"Lost Magic of Dagon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Spring four International students of the AUAS Master 'Digital Design' - Claire Crawford, Ihsan Yahya, Noy Gvishi and Odin Shadmi - developed a video game as part of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/digitallifecentre.nl\/en\/projecten\/toys4therapy\/\">Toys4Therapy research<\/a>&nbsp;of Tamara Pinos C. -researcher at Digital Life - and the Smart Technologies Empowering Citizens project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result was \u2018Lost Magic of Dagon\u2019, a game that encourages children with Cerebral Palsy to practice hand movements in order to improve their ability to perform everyday tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dagon is an imaginary world of lost magic, where the child plays as the hero to restore it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This video game uses the Leap motion, a motion tracker device, to control the game, in that way children can perform hand movements to advance in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many thanks to these students for their valuable efforts in the development!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More information can be found on the website '<a href=\"https:\/\/www.masterdigitaldesign.com\/case\/the-lost-magic-of-dagon\">The Lost Magic of Dagon<\/a>&#8216;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have a look at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1sZI_EQzk0gwY84z9UMZp2BjZ-eyltlz_\/view\">video 1<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1qaqpNqlyUkNRAYlbMS1Co010SKmRtlFn\/view\">video 2<\/a>&nbsp;for further impressions of the videogame.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dit voorjaar hebben vier internationale studenten van de HvA Master &#8216;Digital Design&#8217;
