Met een achtergrond in Communicatiewetenschap (Universiteit van Amsterdam en Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen) en ruime ervaring als senior onderzoeker en consultant, richt zij zich op het welzijn van kinderen, zoals gezondheid en educatie. De afgelopen zeven jaar heeft zij zich gespecialiseerd in kind-technologie-interacties, waaronder games, VR en sociale robots. Ze was hoofdonderzoeker in het SOROCOVA-robotica-project en behaalde subsidies voor innovatief robotica-onderzoek, zoals een Droomrobot voor kinderen in ziekenhuizen.
