Join 40 designers, researchers, developers and others for an evening and a day of tackling engaging design challenges.
On June 13 and 14 the Digital Life Centre, designjams.org and Amsterdam Creative Industries organize a Design Jam in which students, researchers, developers, designers and UX experts work together to tackle a design challenge. The goal of the design jam is to bring together designers to learn from each other.
Every Design Jam addresses a different societal issue. The exact subject of this Design Jam will, as always, be revealed at the start of the event. For now, all we will say is that the challenge combines ICT and Healthcare. In the coming weeks we will provide some more hints on the website and on twitter.
A Design Jam is a great way to improve your design skills, learn new techniques and get to know new people. The results of this Design Jam will be used to develop sevices and app in a hackathon later this year. For more information look at: http://www.designjams.org/about/

Friday June 13
18:30 Doors open, chats and drinks
19:00 Welcome, design challenge announced, team creation
19:45 Mentors lightning talks (to share tips and suggestions)
20:30 Teams free to go home and relax, or start discussing about the topic
Saturday June 14
09:00 Teams create a miniplan and start tackling the challenge with a “Research & Explore” phase.
12:00 Interim presentation/feedback phase.
12:30 Lunch
13:15 "Concept" phase: sketches, storyboards, prototypes, guerilla testing.
15:15 break
15:30 "Design" phase: wireframes, prototypes, visuals… Prepare final presentation.
17:00 Final presentations.
18:00 Wrap up and we’re off to the pub.
