The 21st international conference on Human-Computer Interaction with Mobile Devices and Services will be held in Taipei, Taiwan from October 1 to 4, 2019.
During this ACM Mobile HCI 2019 Joey van der Bie (researcher at Digital Life) and Christina Jaschinski present the EyeBeacons system: in an interactive demo, participants are navigated through the room through multi-modal messages. These messages - consisting of vibrations, sound stands and text that are subsequently communicated with a smartwatch and bone conduction headset - make it possible for the participant to be able to navigate without (having to) look at the screen.
