Lost Magic of Dagon

08-07-2021

This Spring four International students of the AUAS Master 'Digital Design' - Claire Crawford, Ihsan Yahya, Noy Gvishi and Odin Shadmi - developed a video game as part of the Toys4Therapy research of Tamara Pinos C. -researcher at Digital Life - and the Smart Technologies Empowering Citizens project.

The result was ‘Lost Magic of Dagon’, a game that encourages children with Cerebral Palsy to practice hand movements in order to improve their ability to perform everyday tasks.

Dagon is an imaginary world of lost magic, where the child plays as the hero to restore it.

This video game uses the Leap motion, a motion tracker device, to control the game, in that way children can perform hand movements to advance in the game.

Many thanks to these students for their valuable efforts in the development!

More information can be found on the website 'The Lost Magic of Dagon'.
