Design sprint for supporting informal caregivers
31-10-2017
Informal carers are increasingly under pressure to care for their love one. What kind of solutions can help to mitigate the burden of the informal carer? During the Design sprint as part of the DMCI School conference, teachers (who are often informal carers as well) came together to discuss and design think solutions for better caring.
After a lot of discussion theming the importance of the recognition and awareness of informal caring, and the need for more awareness of existing aids, the solutions were posted in two Tweets (translated from Dutch):
- Informal care = shared care. No need to do this alone! HvA activities for recognition, shared support and removing barriers.
- Who cares for the informal carer? The supportive informal care coach: devoted and knowledgeable.
