Digital Life Centre contributes to Health by Tech 2019 Congress Edition

The University Medical Center Groningen organized on May 16. and 17. in collaboration with the Centre for eHealth & Welfare Research at the University of Twente the 9th Edition in the successful Congress series 'Support of health through technology'.
The target audience consisted of stakeholders from the research community, health care, policy makers as well as innovative companies. This conference offered both presentations and demonstrations to show the progress in the development of eHealth interventions and the introduction of new methods and models for behavior modification using technologies to monitor.
From the Digital Life Centre assistent professor Somaya Ben Allouch was member of the review committee. In addition our researchers Sumit Mehra, Annette Brons and Josca van Houwelingen - Snippe were on stage. Their contributions examined the following themes:
Tools to monitor and encourage physical activity -
* Extending face-to-face exercise programs for older adults with a tablet and eCoaching (Sumit Mehra) * FoxFit: a smart tool to stimulate physical activity for children with asthma (Annette Brons)
The elderly and healthy ageing -
* Growing Roots: connecting elderly through ambient nature projections (Josca van Houwelingen - Snippe)
