KIEM 2020 application granted

11-01-2021

Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and Amsterdam UMC, together with eHealth companies and healthcare institutions, have been awarded a KIEM 2020 application. This regulation of the SIA Governing Body encourages the setting up of new partnerships between SMEs and / or partners in practice plus colleges, universities or other knowledge institutions.

This research project studies the business case of applying eHealth technology for outpatient geriatric rehabilitation and the associated information security requirements. The HvA research group Digital Life and the Faculty of Health are involved in the project. Hipper Therapeutics is also in the consortium.

Can healthcare institutions actually reduce their costs in the current healthcare system by using eHealth applications such as Hipper - which is a combination of technology and a treatment protocol for outpatient geriatric rehabilitation developed at AUAS and AUMC? Can eHealth companies meet the strict requirements of information security?

We expect to know the answers in a year!
